Dear

I wish to bring to your attention the growing concerns from the British public regarding the status of National Badger Day - held annually on the first Saturday of October. It has come to my attention that there is a general consensus that there is a great need to elevate the status of National Badger Day and move it to a weekday National Holiday; this will be a fitting honour to a great and proud creature and thusly a great and enjoyable day.

Since it's conception, National Badger Day has brought joy to all who come into it's comforting glow. Happiness is spread on this day from one man, and woman, to another - regardless of race, religion or class. Spreading happiness is happiness and this is revealed to us all on this great day.

However, the proliferation of joy is hindered by the continued fact that it is held on a Saturday, many people's day of shopping. The insistence of the Government in refusing to address this issue does not help and will continue to disparage National Badger Day supporters.

I am aware that many crimes in the name of National Badger Day have been committed recently. I wish to make it clear that I do not affiliate myself with these extremists or agree with the methods they employ. I sincerely hope that they cease their destructive actions as much as you do.

A question for you: What day does the British public most look forward to each year?

Answer: National Badger Day.

It says it all. National Badger Day is more important to people than Christmas Day or their birthday. Put together. Then multiplied by four. Then squared. And that's a FACT.

Please do not ignore this problem. It needs to be addressed immediately otherwise you will risk the very real threat of civil unrest and perhaps a "no way back" scenario. The people of Great Britain want to back this Government. Please do us the courtesy of backing us too.

Thanking you in advance.

Yours faithfully,
